what are the advantages and disadvantages in social bookmarking

How funny ! But this is good question. I know only advantages like increase traffic etc. I don't know what is disadvantage, u wait for some other seo experts advice they will help you...

There are a few disadvantages...first of all is that most of the social bookmarking links are no follow so you can't really and fully benefit. In terms of traffic this might be low quality or untargeted (obviously depending on the niche you deal with).

Yes we will get traffic but not targeted traffic. Some of the site wont give back links. Till now visitors from bookmarking sites haven't bought any products from our site. This clearly shows that we can use this one for brand awareness.

I only know the advantage, and i really don't know what is it's disadvantage
