article submission
blog commenting
classified ads
directory submission
link exchange
press release
online group posting
social bookmarking and networking

Just make sure to create links from relevant and Dofollow sites. Quality is better than quantity right?

they are split 3 ways:

one way
two way
three way

one way: you get backlink from another site

two way: this one exchange the links in both site, this is also called reciprocal link

Three way: this one the dimension links.. so we can get two backlink from other site..
