we all know that keywords are important to the site and they should be on page too.How to get the best keywords for your site.
Here are a few tips.
1)First is that you should know your main keyword/keywords.
2)go to http://freekeywords.wordtracker.com/ and find matching long tail keyowrds
3)Include them in your page and then start building links for them

Its also important to note that you should not do too much keyword stuffing in your site's content or it will scare away your visitors. You should always try to maintain a balance between keyword targeting and readable content so that you can please search engines as well as your site's visitors!

i usually do is i will research the keywords that are related to my site with high ranking (i use gorank), then i use it as my alt tags on my anchor text...

also I include some keywords on my title or on the description it self, if I do Social Bookmarking, Directories and Classifieds..
