I've been away from the SEO seen for a while, and need to scratch up on the new buzz words.

But I'm surprised to see people still using Directories!

I've not done any SEO for about a year now (I have a few successful sites), but when I was leaving the last thing I found was that Google was making links from directories less significant.. almost insignificant

So, I'm surprised to see people still using them I would have even thought forum links would be dying off by now, seems like Google doesn't move as fast as I had imagined!

In my own personal experience, directories still have value. It depends on how high-PR a directory is, as well as the number of total submissions you do per month.

Well, I imagine there are a handful of directories that really make any sort of impact. I remember back in the days submitting to lists of 10s of thousands of directories. I doubt any of those have a significant impact for the key phrases / words in the serps now.

But what have you found lentrepot, have you just been submitting to directories alone?

Well I still do some directory submission. But I only submit my sites to quality web directories, preferably with PR.

i do not think that directory's link has no value. directories are also helpful for increasing the PR of any website. but directories should be of high PR. and details should be submitted in the relevant category. it will be definitely useful.

Well i still use it and get backlinks, but in the past i got more traffic from directorie, right now i get no traffic from directorys at all
